Before we get started, Cyber Security is a huge field, and it is important to understand the different career paths in Cyber Security, Offensive and Defensive Security

A. Offensive Security, commonly known as Red Teaming puts to test the strength of the organization’s system. Offensive Security professionals take the role of an adversary and mimic an attacker to find vulnerabilities and avoid cyber security defenses.

B. Defensive Security, commonly known as Blue Teaming put the Cyber defenses of the organization to the test and makes sure the Cyberspace of the organization stays secure.

In other cases, there is a mixture of the two paths, commonly known as Purple Teaming.

Learn the art of Cryptography: This plays a big role in information as a security tactic used to protect the organization’s information and communication from cyber threats through the use of codes.
