It was dubbed 'the end of the world' for netizens as X users logged in to a non-respondent X home page.
Users on X, formerly known as Twitter, could not view posts on the social media site with a message that said "Welcome to X!" The only features accessible were the Direct Messages and Spaces.
According to Downdetecter, the site reported issues beginning at 8:00 am on Thursday.
Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including users.
The cause of the global outage is yet to be established.
On the other hand, Musk and representatives from X have yet to address its users regarding the outage and when it will be resolved.

UPDATE: X is back online. A section of users reported that the app had returned to normalcy at 9:45 am.
