SHIELD is excited to unveil a new partnership with Kibera Digital Village (KDV) aimed at fostering technological skills and supporting entrepreneurial endeavours in Kibera. This initiative will provide young people and creative minds in the community with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to thrive in the technology sector.

celebrates the incredible talent in Kibera. This partnership will expand our
scope of support for founders, tech talents and creatives in Kibera and help us
amplify the impact we are looking to create together for our community” said
James Mugambi, founder and MD at SHIELD. “Together, we aim to unlock new
opportunities and push the boundaries for our community, paving the way for a
brighter future.”
Through this
partnership, SHIELD and KDV will co-design and co-implement a range of
innovative programs, hackathons, and challenges tailored to Kibera's youth's
unique needs and talents. These initiatives will not only provide invaluable
hands-on experience but will also open doors for participants to break into the
tech world.

partnership will allow us to document and highlight the inspiring stories of
Kibera’s entrepreneurs and their impactful projects through visual
storytelling. By showcasing these narratives, we aim to amplify the voices of
local innovators and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
