Apple's Vision Pro Launching In February


It was teased before that Apple would announce the dates for the Vision Pro's launch this week, well, now it's official. Apple has announced it will start shipping its Vision Pro headset on February 2nd in the United States.

Since its unveiling in June 2023 at the WWDC23 Keynote, the tech market and Apple testers have been looking forward to the release date, private prototype testing and spatial computing experiments. Now the moment of purchase in the market is actually approaching, once available for purchase, the highly anticipated headset will go for $3,499 (around KES 551,093).

Apple also revealed the pricing for the Zeiss prescription lenses that users can get with it. Readers will be available for an extra $99 (KES 15,617.25), while prescription lenses will cost $149 (KES 23,504.75)

Launch date: February 2nd 2024

Pre-orders begin January 19th 2024

The base model of the Vision Pro offers 256GB of storage and is packaged with the following accessories:

  • Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band
  • A light seal and two light seal cushions
  • Apple Vision Pro cover
  • Polishing cloth
  • Battery
  • USB-C charging cable and USB-C power adapter
